The DAO1 International Hackathon is almost here. Starting June 18, the hackathon will be held in two stages followed by the award of prizes worth $25,000 USDT to eligible contestants. To be held between June 18 to 20 (Stage 1) and June 30 — July 2 (Stage 2), the event is judged by some of the leading names from the crypto, fintech, media, telecom and financial industry. Here’s a peek at the personalities who will be evaluating the applicants and projects that are part of the DAO1 Hackathon. Winners of the hackathon will receive 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes of $10000, $7500 and $5000 in USDT respectively, In addition, another $2500 worth of rewards will also be offered to the participants.
The Judges
Noble A. Drakoln
Noble A. Drakoln is the co-founder of a successful NFT Music Startup, BandRoyalty.com — a company that merges NFTs with music royalties. He has been involved in multiple tech startups as a consultant, investor and director. In the early days of the conversion from paging to full digital cellular networks, from TDMA to CDMA, he successfully ran a venture that made mergers and acquisitions in the 900mHz, 150mHz, and 450mHz spectrums.
Mr. Drakoln is also the author of the books “Winning the Trading Game” and “Trade Like a Pro”. A culmination of a 28 year career being a part of the futures/commodities industry since the age of seventeen.
Richard M. Holmes
The CEO of Lolly, a personal, location-based and real-time marketing platform for local and global brands, Richard has an illustrious career as a founder, director and investor in ecommerce, social media, gaming, software development and video games publishing for over 25 years. He has designed and produced three #1 hit games in the UK charts, including Tactical Manager and Football Glory published by Black Legend, and over 400 further product launches worldwide.
Richard has substantial experience in retail distribution, marketing, crypto, online commerce, and innovative operational processes and structures in fast-growing companies. He has worked on product launches with brands as diverse as Nestlé, Kellogg’s, Yokohama and the RSPCA, creating video games promotion, social media applications and social commerce marketplaces.
Richard completed a London AIM stock exchange flotation with IncaGold PLC in 2005, was a founder in Silicon Valley VC-backed venture Stiki Digital Inc, and has acted as ecommerce consultant to the Isle of Man Government, as director or non-executive director on boards of media, crypto and gaming businesses in the UK, USA, Isle of Man, Germany and Brazil.
Paolo Petrolini
Paolo is an entrepreneur and product advisor with over 15 years of hands-on experience in product management and operations excellence. Prior to starting his entrepreneurial journey, Paolo worked at Google for over a decade, where he served as the Head of Trust & Safety in Central Europe, leading an international team of product specialists, data scientists and anti-abuse analysts.
He is the co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Salarify, the first earned wage access solution in continental Europe. Salarify is on a mission to turn salaries into smart tools, becoming a dynamic earned balance to be used by employees on a daily basis, reducing the need of borrowing credit between pay cycles.
He is also a trusted Advisor to startups and enterprises alike, providing them with hands-on support in setting the right product strategy and operations excellence framework to fit their business growth expectations.
Taryn Andersen
Taryn Andersen is CEO and co-founder of Impulse4women, an international nonprofit organization operating both online and offline. Impulse4women’s goal is to connect female-led tech startups and social impact projects with investors, corporates, public — private institutions. They support at every stage of development providing the required tools and skills to increase the probability of funding, based on sector, business model, maturity, economics needs.
She is the Investor Relations Director of Telegraph Hill Venture Capital. They are investing in Cybersec, FinTech, Education Tech, Digital Tech, PropTech, Transportation, and early stages in the US, Canada, Europe since 2008.
Since February 2019, she is part of the Jury Member @EIC H2020 SME Innovation Funding Instrument at the European Commission; Member Board at WEGate — European Commission; Senator Member at World Business Angel Forum (WBAF); Board Member at Global StartupCities, and more.
She comes with a professional background in private banking with over 13 years of domain experience. Taryn has mentored many startups, served as a judge in various startup competitions and more. She founded Pluribus United Foundations composed of 15 different private foundations.
